{"id":543,"date":"2013-07-08T20:56:42","date_gmt":"2013-07-09T01:56:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/swaziland2013.mcguireclan.org\/?p=543"},"modified":"2014-06-01T13:22:35","modified_gmt":"2014-06-01T18:22:35","slug":"20130708-monday-back-to-work","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mcguirereport.mcguireclan.org\/?p=543","title":{"rendered":"2013\/07\/08 &#8212; Monday &#8212; Back to Work"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Back to work after a fantastic weekend at Kruger Park.<\/p>\n<p>I spent most of the morning catching up on all the emails that came in over the weekend.\u00a0 There was no internet service at the bungalow in Kruger, so we didn&#8217;t even bother to check.<\/p>\n<p>We learned this morning that the Africa Regional Office wants us to\u00a0 to meet with leaders there on July 18, before we caught our evening flight back home.\u00a0 Therefore we will plan on leaving Swaziland on Wednesday July 17, rather than on July 18.<\/p>\n<p>Graham discovered that the interface card in TX3 for automation control was wired differently than TX1 or TX2.\u00a0 This explains why it reacts differently from the other two, although receiving the same command.\u00a0 Upon further review, we decided to use this revision, rather than the plan we devised on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>This afternoon, when TX2 and TX3 had their filaments switched on by the computer, instead of remaining with only the filaments warming up, these two transmitters proceeded to go on the &#8216;air&#8217;.\u00a0 This is unlike TX3, so tomorrow will be spent trying to figure out why?\u00a0 There should be no problem operating tonight and in the morning under these conditions.<\/p>\n<p>It has been cloudy all day, so when I got home the temperature in the house was down to 64F.\u00a0 I am almost on the verge of shivering as this blog is being done.\u00a0 Outside it is now about 59F, so it will likely be a cool morning tomorrow.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Back to work after a fantastic weekend at Kruger Park.
